local writer/librarian seeks paid work in advance of big summer

For a small sum I will research, write, and edit for your org and you. Plus other stuff.

First off: local writer/librarian in question is not in dire need, has all basic necessities met & is still gainfully employed at the Public Library. It's just, at the end of the day, public library work is not very gainful. And until a certain security deposit is repaid into her account she's going into summer especially lean and slender seeking paid work on the side.

does your org need organizing, writing, or research?

For the past six years a great deal of my practice in writing and info work has been directly involved with social & political causes, including organizational work. My book that came out last year developed out of a political pamphlet on local housing issues, which itself developed out of a political zine series I did in 2020. For a cheap and negotiable amount, I will:

📝 write, design, edit, and print you a zine or pamphlet (I've done this roughly fifteen times on my own and in groups. Rates low and turnaround very fast. Examples available on request.)

👀 research a question, issue, or problem and provide a reading list on it (General reference work but discrete and thorough. I am a published historian with a focus on queer stuff, local issues, and oral history. I have eight years research experience with four fellowships under my belt <3)

📚 organize your notes or google drive (I am professionally trained in cataloging and knowledge organization and can do this at any scale)

🤌 collate info from your notes into a thoughtful & easy-to-read format (Better than AI guaranteed® and from the hand of a real breathing woman)

do you want notes on a story, article, or manuscript but can't afford a pro editor?

I am a published author who's prepared to work closely with you to improve your piece of fiction, nonfiction, zine, mission statement, or technical writing. I am not a professional editor but am a lot cheaper than one.

👽 notes on your fiction/CNF/poetry for the cost of a meal (I have been writing and editing fiction everyday for about a year and a half. My prior publications here are still modest . My turnaround is very fast and my notes are detailed and honest. We're talking probably like $15-40ish.)

👁️‍🗨️ notes on your humanities thesis/argumentative paper for similar rate (I was a TA for two years in college and won five awards + two institutional writing competitions. Not currently an academic but more than qualified as a second set of eyes.)

besides that i can organize your stuff, clean your apartment, and be an opener on your DIY bill

🧚‍♀️ i will get your storage unit, basement, or spare room in order so help me God (I have been in enough messy distro storage spaces that inventory logistics feel like home at this point. Will make a spreadsheet if allowed.)

💯 listen sometimes we need help cleaning and that's cool i will do it for you (You know I'm not gonna judge you because I too am living this lifestyle from time to time. Not a professional, down to help.)

🎶 i've been writing and playing original folk & indie music for eleven years and will open your DIY bill (Hmu for demos)
